Med is short for medical condition? I vote that. If it's short for medicine then I vote drugs, specifically ecstasy/molly. Just say we're rolling and drinking is too dangerous. If anyone asks us for some or has any followup questions just "bye cop" and stop talking to them.

Smart. I vote this version of E. Let's just leave it vague and say "I'm not mixing" when offered alcohol. People thinking we're on a mystery drug also leets us act a little weird so if they press for details of what drug we're on, we can just put our finger on their lips and say "They're always listening" and that should be weird enough for them to leave us alone. And bonus we can report to Alex that we avoided intoxicants, which might encourage her to loosen up a little. We can even send her a selfie from a party telling her that we are having fun but staying sober.

It really depends what situations come up. In real life I have never felt pressure to drink, it feels like such an old fashioned thing, like judging someone for not drinking would be as weird as judging someone for drinking. So realistically we can probably just casually decline and no one will care. But if the story you have planned involves pressure to drink, then we go with whatever seems appropriate in the moment based on who is pressuring us. DD might not work cause it's a walkable campus so no one is driving, meds seems like a good excuse, cause it would be super weird to ask someone what meds they take. Like, "Dude I just met you I'm not discussing my private medical information." But drugs could also be a good excuse, "Not mixing alcohol with what I'm already on" or "booze doesn't mix well with what I took" are vague and if someone presses to know what we're on we can shut that down with "that's the kind of question a cop would ask." And the heavy drinking crowd will probably not "judge" us taking a harder drug. We could also get specific and say we're on ayahuasca or salvia. Or, possibly my favorite idea, we just say we're microdosing and that alcohol interferes with it and if someone asks what specifically we're microdosing we just say "privacy" and leave a silence to let them feel the awkwardness of having been nosy.

Well, I gave enough information in past chapters for you to guess what the correct answer in this interaction is, but nobody connected the dots hahaha About drinking in general, more than pressuring or old fashioned, I don't know anybody that could engage, fit in and endure a 16-hour wild party, or much less 4 days of non-stop festival, without drinking at least a bit. Not even a full night on a nightclub, any DD or non drinker would tell that the first 1-2 hours are ok, but 6 hours sober in a loud nightclub while the rest is drunk is boring. Alcohol it's not called a 'social lubricant' for no reason. For the game, one thing are general social gatherings or normal parties where you play jenga and chill, but for crazy american pie-like parties like these, you won't go far with drunk sorority sisters while being the out-of-vibe monk in the room. Of course, this opens the possibility of sober-bonding with nerdy/non-social-butterflies girls on the party...

Personally I spent my 20s partying without alcohol, both during and after college, and no one cared but I was extroverted so I didn't really need social lubricant. I presume you were hinting at D?
