Our publishing house was contacted by the staff of the Foundation for the Ancient History of the Japanese Empire. They needed a skilled restorer. About a month ago, they held a large thematic exhibition of ancient chronicles and historical monuments from the Land of the Rising Sun. During one of the tours, a mentally ill individual, shouting "Sieg Heil!", doused the main chronicle of the Land of the Rising Sun, the Annals of Japan, with concentrated sulfuric acid. The rich mythology was completely destroyed, the historical theme was greatly damaged, and the subsequent fate of this individual is unknown to me, as is how the museum staff contacted me. Nevertheless, my boss, Ms. Iwasaki, suggested me, and since I worked as a bookbinder and restorer from 1990 to 1993, I agreed. Thus, this chronicle will find a place on my desk today. I'll try to help, although I don't know how long it will take me to complete this restoration, as it will be my first time doing it. Timelines weren't important to these people. To restore this monument, I'll have to "get the whole family involved." My father's knowledge and advice on ancient Japanese history will be more useful than ever, as will my mother's expertise in ancient Japanese art and music. 09/06/2021. Osaka. In the parking lot near my work, I came across a crippled cat. Some monster simply cut off his tail with metal scissors. We had already seen this kitten when a few days before, together with my sister, her name is Kaori, we were, I think, in Konosu and I, at first, decided to feed him again, and then, when this fluffy cutie climbed onto the hood of my car, I simply put him on the passenger seat, started the car and drove home, because without a cat, life is not the same... Now, along with two squirrels saved from a burning forest, living in our garden, he is everyone's favorite. The kitten was named Garfield. And last night a cobra crawled into my sister's room, and what do you think, Garfield saved Kaori's life. Risking his own life, the cat entered into an unequal fight with the snake and killed it. Probably, if I had not seen it with my own eyes, I would not have believed that an ordinary house cat is capable of such a thing, but then again...
