Passive male characters being manipulated by women are a trope in Japanese comics, but much of the time they are too close to the border of sexual maturity for comfort.
Western art tends to avoid that taboo, but often fails to show erotic intent. In femdom or crossdressing cartoons, humiliation is frequently inflicted for its own sake rather than as part of a sexual encounter.
For me, femdom and crossdressing are a way for a man to become a sex object - to have sex without responsibility. Any guilt that a male character might feel about having sex is substituted for the shame of being exploited, which is somehow preferable. (A vestige of childhood guilt about masturbation, perhaps.)
