I remember, as about a 14 year old, standing in front of a magazine rack near my mom (she would have been 40 at the time) when mom saw some of those true detective type magazines (with the photos of bound, murdered women with their blouses ripped off and their bras visible on the cover) and asked, "What kind of person enjoys looking at pictures like THAT?" I just sort of mumble "I dunno" into my chest while thinking, "Your son does." And shame and sexuality tightened their grip on each other some more...

I also remember when I was much younger (5? 6?) often being in my mom's bedroom with her when she was dressing to go out. (My 2-years-older sister was rarely in there also.) Anyway, I already knew by then that I LOVED seeing women in bras and slips! I don't know what started it - movies on tv, the Sears catalog, that famous photo of Rita Hayworth in her slip, or my mom - but I already knew by this young age how much I like seeing my mom in her bra and panties or (even better, I thought) a slip. Apparently, I wasn't very good at perving my mom surreptitiously. I showed too much lust, or hunger, or I simply stared too hard. Whatever it was, all-of-a-sudden mom said I shouldn't be there, she hustled me out of the room, and I never got to see my mom in her bra and panties (or a slip!) again.
