"That afternoon, Mr Davies decided that it was the two teachers that were responsible for the havoc that ensued in both their classes earlier that day, due to a severe lack of discipline being maintained. His instruction was clear and non negotiable. They were to return to school at 6pm that evening, having changed into the correct school uniforms obtainable from the 'lost clothing' cupboard. They were to wear thin plain white cotton knickers and be prepared for a caning."

"If the standards of discipline and punishment of the last centuries were still maintained, I don't think we would have the same problems with wives, daughters and other female family members, do you?"

"Isn't it good to visit an old friend and see that his standards of discipline are along the same line as yours. Having entered the house by the back door as indicated, it was a surprise to find his wife in the corner, behind the front door. "She has considerably overspent on the month's household budget", he explained. "I will be caning her in an hour, if you would like to stay". I noticed her head drop as he mentioned this and after a moment, I replied "Why not. I haven't seen a wife beaten for some time". "Oh, you're not going to watch, your going to be doing the caning whilst I watch!""
