I know why the forums in members` accounts put a backslash before some of the punctuation marks and why it won`t accept an Enter key. The software for these editors is from some sort of Unix, probably Linux. I hope IF upgrades some day but they set priorities and they have to deal with the bigger picture. The only accent marks in English are the apostrophe (aka `the single quote`) and the quote mark (aka ``the double quote``). I have taken up the habit of using the grave accent (which my French teacher always called `accent grave`). On my keyboard it`s to the left of the 1! key.
