The Republic of Samovia is a small European country. It's often consider quaint and backward by it's contemporaries due to it's Patriarchal society and the fact that owning another person is legal. In an attempt to become more modern the word' slave' is gradually being replaced by' pet'. For some native Samovians this can be a vocational choice. However there IS a dark side to Samovia. Not all pets are here voluntarily. The Factory is where abductees from all over the world are shipped to to be broken. Their free will wiped and instilled with one reason to live- to serve a master.The rest of the world judges Samovia as an 'unprogressive' little state, still clinging to outmoded and conservative traditions. And yet, per capita, the Republic of Samovia has one of the highest influxes of tourists, applications for immigration and 'second home owners'. Perhaps the keeping of 'Pets' isn't such a bad thing after all
