Alone or with a friend, women shaving has been around a long time. In ancient Egypt, women spent great time and effort to maintain a completely hair free body, and head. In ancient Rome a hair free body was seen as a sign of wealth. In 1914 Gillette marketed the first safety razor for women, the first women's electric razor came around in 1940. From a status symbol to avoiding the "embarrassing" and "revolting" curse of female hair to hygiene or just for fun, women shaving is here to stay.
