Once a year the Bristol and District Women’s Institute gathered in a quiet Bristol studio for their now-traditional nude photo shoot. Clothes came off amid tea, shortbread and laughter. Members from their forties to fifty’s posed against a soft textured backdrop simply standing proud.The photographer kept everything tasteful and relaxed. Full, lived-in bodies—soft bellies, heavy breasts, strong thighs—were celebrated without apology. Every image went into a limited calendar and art prints; every penny raised supported local women’s health and domestic-violence charities. By the end of the afternoon the group stood together, smiling, naked and unselfconscious, already planning next year’s theme
