Susan Scott Thompson (born November 9 in Richmond, Virginia, USA) is an American activist, actress, director, producer and writer. Scottie Thompson grew up performing as a ballet dancer. She transitioned into her acting career when she landed a recurring role on the Showtime series "Brotherhood" after graduating from Harvard University with a degree in Performance Studies. She has gone on to continue working in various television shows, films and independent films. She played in the plays Macbeth (2002), Marisol (2003) and The Oresteia (2005). She also helped with the choreography and design of some plays. She was manager of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals in 2003 and worked for the editor of travel guides, Let’s Go. She went to New York to start her acting career. She had some guest appearances on television shows and a recurring role alongside Jason Isaacs in the showtime crime series Brotherhood. Among other things, she played the role of Jeanne Benoit in the successful CBS series Navy CIS. In the hospital series trauma, Thompson was a Dr. Diana Van Dine to the regular cast; the series was canceled after the first season with 18 episodes.
