Sharlène Royer (born in Quebec, Canada) is Canadian actress and stunt performer. Daughter of a Haitian mother and a French Canadian father, Sharlene Royer is easy both in English and in French. She was a dancer from 7 to 18 years old and is classically trained in classical dance, jazz and tap, having studied with Louise Lapierre and Les Grands Classics Eddie Toussaint and - just 13 years old - she performs on Montreal's world-class scene at Place des Arts. As a teenager Ms. Royer was part of the theater group Carcans Troupe, where she spent more than four years perfecting herself. Later, Mrs. Royer studied Art and Communication at the University of Jean-de-Brébeuf. From a young age, she has been immersed in the artistic world, through a decade of dancing disciplines, including classical, jazz and ballet, as well as theatre training. While working as a model and actor, Sharlène was discovered by acclaimed stunt coordinator Alan Oliney in 1999, and quickly catapulted to the forefront of the stunt-work scene, becoming the sought-after favourite for stars like Halle Berry, Vanessa Williams, Rosario Dawson, Nina Lisandrello, Leila Arcieri, Monica Arnold and Pam Grier. Sharlène broke into acting in 1995 by way of the hot female cop series Sirens, which she followed with parts on The Hunger; Largo Winch: The Heir; Wolves in the Snow; Bliss; and French-language productions on the order of Lance et Compte: Nouvelle Generation; L'Auberge du Chien Noir; Les Bougon: C'est Aussi ca la Vie; and Un Tueru si Proche. She also turns up (and turns us on) as Celeste in Bon Cop Bad Cop (2006), the blockbuster that finally beat out Porky's (1982) to become the highest grossing Canadian made big screen comedy of all time.
