They are from the summer of 1980 and capture a moment in time just prior to the terrible events that occurred there that year. The photos are unaltered. Some of them are defaced with magic marker. Clearly the work of crude young men at the camp who were likely passing them around to each other. The purpose of showing these photographs isn't to exploit these young women. It is to celebrate their lives. These were vibrant people with a promising future ahead of them. Then the man in the mask came and he ruined everything. He carved up everything they were. The only known survivor of the massacre is in the third photo of the set. The one labled "Virgin Won't Put Out". Jennifer Hayward. She has essentially gone into hiding. Won't do interviews. Does not want to be contacted. Just wants to live a quiet anonymous life and put the horrible events of that year behind her.
