Alina Tomnikov (b. June 24, 1988 in Kerava, Finland) is a Finnis-Russian actress. She graduated with a Master's degree in theatre in 2013. Alina Tomnikov's father is Dmitrij Tomnikov from St. Petersburg. Her parents met in Leningrad, where Tomnikov's Finnish mother studied to become a doctor. The family moved to Finland in the late 1980's. mnikov's best-known roles are in Anna Love Records – Anna mulle Lovee (2016) and Milli Menninkäinen in the films Rölli and the Secret of All Time (2016) and Rölli and the Golden Key (2012) and Anna Myllylä in the television series Downshiftajat 2 (2017), Jonna Syke (2017), Janna Laitinen's TV series At Any Cost (2015). Alina Tomnikov is considered to be one of Finland's finest actors. She graduated from the Theatre Academy of Helsinki in 2013, and soon began working on-screen in Finland. In recent years, she has started to work on more international productions.nnHer early work includes: Dome Karukoski's "The Grum"; Aku Louhimies's acclaimed war epic "The Unknown Soldier"; "Artic Circle"; "Syke"; Aleksi Mäkelä's feature film "Love Records"; as well as Teemu Nikki's feature "Euthanizer" playing the role of 'Elisa'; and J-P Siili's drama "Veljeni Vartija".nnAlina played the lead in Heikki Kujanpää's television series Donna, which won the Diversity and Inclusion award in MipCom in Cannes, and has been sold worldwide to countries including Sweden, Norway, and the US.
