Anna Maxwell Martin (born May 10, 1977 in Beverley, Yorkshire, England, UK), also known as Anna Maxwell-Martin, is an English actress who has won two British Academy Television Awards, for her portrayals of Esther Summerson in the BBC adaptation of Bleak House, and of N in the Channel 4 adaptation of Poppy Shakespeare. Her first on screen role was in the TV series Midsomer Murders. Not long after that, Anna garnered acclaim for playing the lead role in the National Theatre's adaptation of Philip Pullman's fantasy trilogy His Dark Materials. From there, this supple strawberry blonde earned recurring roles on such series as North and South, Bleak House, Free Agents, and South Riding. Anna also landed leads in several features, including Enduring Love (2004), Becoming Jane (2007), Poppy Shakespeare (2008), and Richard Laxton's epic war romance The Night Watch (2011). In that one, Anna bares her three bountiful Bs (boobs, bush, and buns) while making morning love with her lezzie ladyfriend. Roles in higher profile projects followed. In 2013, Anna played Jane in the Oscar-nominated film Philomena, and in 2019 this fiery redhead was cast as Hell-warden Beelzebub in Good Omens, the television adaptation of the Terry Pratchett/Neil Gaiman novel of the same name. If only she raised Hell in our pants by showing her anatomical beelzebubs. We do get to partially see Anna's bananas in the British sitcom Motherland. She shows plenty of cleave in a bra in one scene and in a one-piece bathing suit in another.
