A very hot and humid summer passed without air-con. She was wearing these noisy mules-style slippers during her daily household activities, like cleaning and cooking. Slapping her mules really hard on the floor and her dry heels while walking back and forth from one room to another, made her feet really sore and sweat, with an extremely pungent smell!
