I'd only been modeling for a few months when an agent approached me and asked if I'd be open to traveling for a photo shoot. It sounded really exciting and exotic, but I was so naive. I probably should've told my parents about it, but it was only for a couple of weeks. I found out later the assignment was in the Middle East. When I landed, I was overwhelmed by the strangeness of the food and the culture, but I made lots of new friends, including some wealthy royals who offered to help me in my modeling career. They told me young, blonde American girls were in high demand in that part of the world, but I quickly learned it probably wasn't for modeling. I realized they expected all kinds of favors in return for their help, but I was thousands of miles away from home and really didn't feel like I had other options. If my parents ever find out some of the things I did while I was there, I'm sure there'll be all kinds of family drama!
