June Edna Fairchild (born June Edna Wilson; September 3, 1946 in in Manhattan Beach, California – February 17, 2015) was an American dancer and actress. Fairchild starred or co-starred in more than a dozen film roles before her addictions to drugs and alcohol effectively ended her professional acting career. The deeply tanned and wildly uninhibited Manhattan Beach, California, native was a favorite of the maverick American filmmakers who defined a cool, detached brand of no-strings sexuality that was all the hotter for being so seemingly free. June summed up the gypsy spirit of the times in a bare muff flash that showed her hairy bush and a nymph-like starry-eyed youthfulness in Pretty Maids all in a Row (1971). Her body was willing, able and actualized in director Jack Nicholson’s Drive, He Said (1972). Her career peak came as her tasty, high ass twisted and flexed its dimples as Fairchild wormed into a bra in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974). Bad roles and brushes with the law subsequently dimmed this rebel star. She died from liver cancer at a convalescent home in Los Angeles on February 17, 2015, at the age of 68.
