HAREM INSPECTIONS IN GENERAL Each and every harem additional had to go through a rigorous process of measuring, evaluation, cleaning, shaving and individual inspection by numerous personnel serving in the harem. After the new female slaves were bather shaved and massages, they had to be inspected by the Imams. These old scholars were guarding Pasha’s and Sultan’s harem chastity. Sometimes the Imams, being alarmed by the monstrousness of the slave’s lower plumbing, they ordered her trimming to be performed immediately at the doctor’s inspection. The Imams in every city insisted that all matrons being hired from outside the harem walls must be also inspected and evaluated. The wise scholars knew, that an overgrown clitoris on a mature matron in a harem is equally dangerous as the plumbing equipment on a young slave concubine. Therefore, in many harems all matrons were thoroughly circumcised, most in the Egyptian Pharaonic fashion. This eliminate all lesbian seductions and corruption by the matrons.
