Maria Kooistra (born 23 January 1975 in Leek, Groningen) is a Dutch former actress, model, columnist, single mother of 3, and kickass jewelry designer. She is best known for her roles as Pascale Berings in the soap opera Good Times, Bad Times (2003-2004, 2004) and Giselle in the series Costa (2005). Kooistra also starred in a number of films by director Eddy Terstall; in Simon, as Gwen (2004) and in Sextet, as Brechtje (2007). At the end of the nineties she presented the television program Maximum for a few months with Daan Schuurmans and Renate van der Zalm. She appeared in scantily dressed in the magazine FHM. Kooistra was married to fashion entrepreneur Steve te Pas from 2006 to 2012; they have three children. She was long friends with fashion designer Percy Irausquin. This friendship came to an end when Irausquin and Te Pas became embroiled in a legal conflict.
