Since women are inherently sinful, in order for their souls to be saved they must be tamed and disciplined first by their fathers, then by their husbands, informed by the word of God. The woman must be modest, meek, obedient, and true. Granted, many conservative Christian women are only modest by modern western standards, and would be more God-honouring, and reflect better on the patriarchs in their lives if they dressed more like women of the Victorian era, or certain Muslim women today. But a contemporary, godly modesty is better than the whorish travesties of feminism and liberalism, and the vile displays of celebrities who feel that dressing and acting like a prostitute is somehow liberating.
