Jonida Prifti is a poet/vocalist, multifaceted artist, musician and interpreter from Albanian to Italian and vice versa. She was born in Berat (Albania) in 1982, and emigrated to Italy (Rome) in 2001. Her research ranges between sound poetry, music and visual arts. She graduated in 2010 with a master's thesis on the Italian poet Patrizia Vicinelli at the University of "La Sapienza" in Rome. His thesis was then published as an e-book by the academic publishing house Onyx in 2014. She has participated in several poetry festivals including “Read My World Fest” (Holland,2021), “Poesiatotale”(Rome,2016), “Mediterranea 18 Young Artists Biennale “(Tirana – Durres, Albania,2017), “Romapoesia”(Rome,2011), “Bolzano Poesia” (Bolzano,2010) ect. Together with the musician Stefano di Trapani she has co-founded the sound poetry duo “Acchiappashpirt”. Their works include: “Flutura” (tape, My Dance the Skull, UK, 2015), Tola (tape, Canti Magnetici, 2017); Strangerivers (cd, Filibusta records, 2017); Liri SM (tape, Canti Magnetici, 2019); Rrafsh (release, Turgid Animal Records, 2020), “Okulstacio”(book tape, Liminal, 2022), “Tratti di corda” (Vinyl, Legno rec., 2022) ect. She participated fully nude in Fabio Mauri Ideologia e Natura at Venice bienale in 2013.
