Thank you for your comments. I agree. I have found that strong pictures and gifs tend to get high ratings. Pictures that are subtle, or beautiful, or with captions; well written or not, tend to get lower ratings. I believe it is directly related to the reader's intelligence and attention span. Thankfully, when it comes to ratings, I could care less. I write captions, and read the captions of others for one reason, and one reason only. It gets me hot.
