Now that LaBron has once again flamed out short of an NBA title, the sports talk world is a'twitter with gum-flapping about what this "means" - to his immediate free agent plans, as well as his legacy. "He's going to New York!" "He's going to Chicago!" "He's staying in Cleveland!" While he is an icon and he did have a much better game last night, in seven seasons he's shown himself to be a freakish one-of-a-kind talent who just can't deliver that "champonship". But who does that matter to? It's not as if some sponsor is waiting to throw billions at him "once he wins that ring". It won't change his jersey sales or the sales of any other product he's hawking. Unless he's considering owning a small country following his career, he's already got enough $ to bail out many a third world nation. But he does want to maximize the "brand", so it still probbaly is about the money, something we can all relate to (just not on that plane of wealth). We'd all go to the place that can scratch us the biggest check. As to his legacy - it matters to sports geeks, but not many others. He pulls in a big number, win or lose. Is he tragically unfulfilled? No, that's Cleveland fan.

Nope, not from Ohio, just have a soft spot in my heart (or perhaps my head) for Cleveland, especially the Browns and the Indians.
