Take it slow and focus on breathing. Also make sure you tell your partner what you're trying to do so he doesn't like accidentally move forward. Get into a comfortable position (for me it’s on my knees but my head sticking forward a bit, while he is standing) breath slowly and relax your jaw and your throat so when you finally take him in deeper it is more like “sinking” on it instead of sucking it in. When you’re ready (maybe counting in your head?) you have to commit and take it in deeper. Just for a little bit. Just let it in and out again. You’ll feel it enter your throat and it will feel really uncomfortable at first but that will pass. Once you do that a couple of times you can try keeping it in longer. Other than that.. lots of practice.. Don’t rush it! When you hit the gag reflex it is hard to relax again (at least for me).
