Anybody else use Wacom drawing tablets?

|
So I've always been a fan of Wacom products. On my old laptop (very old Powerbook), I was using a Graphire 4, but got a later one when I upgraded to a Macbook Pro running the latest OS. It's smaller and I don't need a separate mouse (great for taking on the road). Recently I had reason to restart the ancient laptop and use the older tablet. And I realized how much I hate this new one. It makes my hand hurt almost right away. It's so sensitive that even a tiny twitch sends the line all over the place. And it doesn't work well with the newest Photoshop. Clicking anywhere but the window (an easy thing to do with something so sensitive) causing just the brush command to stop for a bit (even as much as a minute). I felt like my old self with the old one, very confident lines, good curves, hand doesn't go numb. It wa easy to right-click on the old one, which brings up a window instead of drawing (obnoxious). But most of all, I loved just turning the pen over to erase. How simple is that?
So my question is: does anybody using drawing tablets have a suggestion about a better model to look into? There has got to be a better solution to this.
Let a gurl know. Mary.
