Exotique ran for 36 issues from 1955 to 1959. Digest-sized publication from Burmel Publishing Co. (Leonard Burtman) starting 1956. Prominently featured his wife Tana Louise. Included fiction, articles and readers' letters, with photographs and illustrations. Gene Bilbrew provided most of the covers (others by Eric Stanton) and much of the artwork. Other Exotique publications included many photo-fiction stories, some with occasional illustrations by Gene Bilbrew and/or Eric Stanton. A poor-quality reprint of the first 36 issues was published by Taschen in 1998.
From Wof:
Burtman's first publication was entitled "Exotica" issued in 1954
Only a single issue of Exotica was published.
Exotica was immediately followed by Exotique, - published by Burtman and Himmel's 'Burmel Publishing Company.'
- Exotique ran for 30 issues from 1955 to 1959.
