Marieke Dilles (born on October 5, 1986 in Antwerp, Belgium) is a Belgian actress working for theatre, film and television productions. Marieke obtained a Master’s degree in Drama at the Herman Teirlinck Institute in 2009. She is an actress, known for The Emperor of Taste (2008), Vermist (2008) and Ménajeux-à-Trois (2017). She made her debut with a lead role in the television series De Smaak van de Keyser (directed by Jan Matthys and Frank Van Passel – 2007). In 2009, she made her film debut in Dossier K (directed by Jan Verheyen). Marieke appeared as a guest actress in several TV series, such as Het Goddelijke Monster, Dubbelleven, and Code 37. She also played in short films as A film by Thomas De Brabanter (2011) and Sonnet 81 (directed by Maaike Neuville – 2013). In 2011, she played the lead character in the VRT TV series De Vijfhoek. On stage Marieke performed in Quills (De Roovers – 2008), De Storm (Theaterproductiehuis Zeelandia – 2009) and Analemma (Het Zuidelijk Toneel – 2008). Her most acclaimed theatrical work to date is Dit is alles. For this HETPALEIS production (2011) she wrote and created the script together with director Femke Heijens based on Aidan Chambers’ novel This is all. The performance was selected for Het Theaterfestival 2012 and got a rerun in 2013. In 2014 Marieke had a role in VTM’s Amateurs, a TV series directed by Frank Van Passel. From 2012-2015 she played a lead role in the internationally distributed TV series Vermist (VIER). Between 2015-2017 Marieke performed in Mr and Mrs Fox’s Quicksand Valley and De Nachtwandelaars by Hans Op de Beeck (HETPALEIS). She has been in a number of short films e.g. Gerontophobia by Boris Sverlow and had a guest role in It’s showtime (Eén).
