Algerian-born Zahia Dehar (Feb. 1992) became instantly famous when the Parisian tabloids revealed that she had started high-end sex work in Switzerland, Germany and France when she was 16. Three Paris-St Germain soccer players were indicted for "solicitation of minor prostitute" but they were ultimately acquitted as “unwitting” clients of Zahia’s. Having achieved celebrity status as a result of the scandal, Zahia capitalized on her fame from 2011 onwards by modelling for various artists such as Pierre et Gilles. She also became a fashion and lingerie designer.
