Saskia Simonet (born on 21 February 1993 in Fribourg, Switzerland) is a Swiss-born stage actress, screen writer, director and contemporary dance teacher. Saskia was born in Switzerland, but she goes to First Act School (Special School of Dramatic Art) in Lyon, France to learn the acting trade in 2015-2016. She attended the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lausanne for a year and although she met the theatre on an odd basis, she did not hesitate to leave her previous studies to attend clowns and theatre classes. Her passion is such that she decides to register at the Théâtre School of the Premier Act in Lyon thanks to the meeting with the director Sarkis Tcheumlekdjian: She passes the audition and enters the first year where she attends, among other things, courses in improvisation, biomechanics and dance. After that, between 2016 - 2019 she was at Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Verscio, Switzerland. Her interest in body disciplines grew and in 2016 Saskia auditioned for the Accademia Teatro Dimitri where she graduated (Bachelor of Arts in Physical Theatherness) in 2019. The same year she participated as a performer in the production "Avanti Avanti Migranti" directed by Volker Hesse and in "Third Hand Socrates" directed by Giampaolo Gotti and created the play "La principessa azzurra" with Filippo Capparella with which they won the Premio Nazionale Giovani Realtà del Teatro 2019 (Udine) and the Premio. Since December 2020 she has been a member of the creation "SEPTIK" of the Compagnie Les Diptik. She won the Migros Cultural Thecent Culture Theatre Study Award in February 2018.
