Janna Honscheid (born August 24, 1990 in Sylt, Germany) often called Janni is German profesional surfer, model and motivation coach. She was born on a little tiny island in the north sea called Sylt, but at the age of 2 weeks her family moved to the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura, where she grew up in a house right next to the ocean. Since all of her family was surfing, she also learned to surf at age of 10. Despite getting an A-level grades, she did not study to devote herself to her surfing career. Since 2008 she has been taking part in professional competitions. Her greatest sporting success to date was winning the German championship on both short and longboards in 2013. She is regarded as the best German surfer of her generation. In order to finance her surfing sport, Hönscheid also works as a motivational trainer and model. In 2014 she was featured on the front page of German Playboy. In November 2016 she took part in the dance show Deutschland tanzt (ProSieben) and the RTL reality show Adam sucht Eva – Promis im Paradies. Since filming the show (despite its nudity it was dating show after all) Janni has been in a relationship with the German TV presenter Peer Kusmagk. They couple married and have two kids, a boy and girl.
