on a small, obscure, forgotten caribbean island off the coast of florida, near anguilla lives a group incestuous families where, as a ritual of entering manhood, the eldest male can choose to have his father undergo a sex/gender changing process. upon completing the process the son and his former father, (now called a father-bride), court each other until the father-bride becomes pregnant. at which point the son and the father-bride are wed, and are husband and wife. it is a very hedonistic lifestyle, where pregnancy is worshiped.
there are three kinds of 'father-brides:'
father-brides, who unwed and have not gotten pregnant,
wives or women who are married,
and vessels who have had their bodies permanently made to look pregnant, who are free to have sex with anyone.
while the father brides were thought to be a myth, they were also rumored to be very beautiful, often called sirens since they were supposedly irresistible to most men. it is said that men have found the island, but never want to leave once they have met a Kastle Island woman.
