Holly is taking part in a fashion show to promote a local winery, modeling a variety of shimmering gowns, unaware that her secret admirer - Skelator - is keeping a close watch on her every move. He has come fully prepared to kidnap her and when he sees she is wearing the satin gown he sent her, he decides not to wait any longer. As she heads down a darkened hall backstage, he clamps a chloroform-drench pad over her pretty nose and mouth, muffling Holly's startled and frightened cries. Overpowering her, Skelator pulls Holly into a deserted dressing room as she struggles to no avail. Holly is helpless in his grasp and soon slumps against him, unconscious and helpless.
