Edda Leesch (born 24th November 1962 in Feuchtwangen, Bavaria) is a German actress and screenwriter. Edda Leesch grew up in Mecklenburg. She completed her training at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts and Ost-Berlinat the University of Music and Theater in Hanover. She also received private lessons. In the 1980s she had engagements at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and at the Staatstheater Saarbrücken. She made her television debut at the beginning of the 1990s with a leading role in the crime scene, where she subsequently performed regularly. For now two decades, she has become known to a wide audience in numerous roles, including series such as Ein Fall für zwei, Wolff's District, SOKO 5113, Double Bet, In the Name of the Law, City District, Rosa Roth, Balko or Die Rettungsflieger. Recently, she has intensified her work as an author for TV movies, in which she sometimes also appears herself. Edda Leesch lives in Berlin today.
