Maritta Katarina ”Ruttu” Viitamäki (born November 4, 1952 in Tampere, Finland) is Finnish actress, known for her role as Martain the The Earth Is a Sinful Song (Original title: Maa on syntinen laulu, 1973), Sorceress (2017) and Täällä Pohjantähden alla (2009). After enrolling as a high school student, Viitamäki studied at the Finnish Youth College in Mikkeli in 1971–1972. Director Rauni Mollberg found her for the lead role in the film Maa on sintinen laulu in the harbor of Mikkeli in 1972, when Maritta was working as a waitress on an inland ship. In the years 1973–1977, Viitamäki studied at Tampere University's third acting course, from which she was hired at the Jyväskylä City Theater after graduating. She retired from acting in 2017. In addition to the film Maa on sintinen laulu, Viitamäki has appeared in the films Antti Puuhaara, Ystävät, toverit, Pekko Aikamiespoja's bachelorhood, Pekko and boy and Tramp and swan and in the television films Siunattu holluus and Kätkäläinen. Viitamäki himself considers her most important roles to be Pippi Longstocking, Rosalina from the Mustalaisleiri mutt tivaseen play and Winnie the Pooh's Nasu.
