Larissa Priscila Jorge (born March 28, 1985 in Curitiba, Paraná), better known as Larissa Maxine is Brazilian actress, journalist, model, screenwriter and burlesque artist. She is known for her work and research within the universe of horror and comedy. Larissa started her acting career at the age of 13 at the Paraná State High School, working with directors such as Samir Abujamra, Eduardo Kurt and Alexandre Bonin. Larissa graduated in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) in 2009 and graduated in Journalism from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) in 2007. She is currently known for her work as a burlesque artist, exploring characteristics of horror and humor in her performances that mix elements of freak show with circus performances, such as swallowing fire. Her characters have great influence from the horror genre, but she also explores them to question dense themes, her most famous character being the "Devil Woman." In November 2016, Larissa was the host of the opening party of the 26th edition of the Short Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro. On October 31, 2017, on Halloween, he launched the project "Maxine's Chest of Evil Tapes" (Baú de Fitas Malignas da Maxine in Portuguese), a dynamic and fun biweekly program on Youtube that discusses horror and cinema in general. The artist uses her years of film research to discuss horror movies, interview horror movie's directors. In December 2017, the feature-length film Abissal, directed by Larissa Anzoategui. The following year, she will stared the dramatic character, Stella, in the series directed by Samir Abujamra, Stella Models, which will be released by Canal Brasil in 2019.
