Never has the status quo been challenged more. In the last few years we've had the #metoo movement. Then #blacklivesmatter. People want change. The old ways are no longer acceptable.It wasn't until the seventies that being openly gay became commonplace. And now, we have the #blackedWIVESmatter movement . As more and more celebrities and public figures 'come out' and openly declare they are in the BBC lifestyle the media can longer bury it away as an inappropriate discussion. The actions of singers and 'influencers', many who are seen as role-models, has opened the eyes of, not just their audience, but that of the parents. Moms and Dad are now having that difficult conversation with their teenage daughter about what exactly is meant by the 'BBC lifestyle'. Of course, like any revolution, there are those who miss out. Spare a thought for the white men who now have to cope with being rejected by a girl who reveals her Q♠ ink or BBC only t-shirt. And it's even worse for those men of color who fail to 'measure up' Now, hardly a day goes by without the showbiz segment of the news detailing how actress 'a' or artist 'b' has revealed their Q♠ on a talk show or on stage. The great thing is, you can't be outed if you've already declared where your desires lie.
