What makes polygamy work? not the man... It's the woman (the matriarch, the first wife, the legal wife) that makes it all possible. She is a witness, a guarantor of her husband, a host, servant and mistress to other wives. It is she what welcomes other women into the family bond, a cocoon ... she is the true north.
Polygamy is not about sex. It's about friendship & connection, sharing the peace, love and happiness these founders (man & wife) have been able to achieve, conquer. Polygamy, marriage as a whole, is not a tree, it is a soil to which seeds come into fruition and become beautiful, fruitful trees. The quality of the soil is up to the care, discipline, knowledge & efforts of the participants, the gardeners...
I do not have any experience in poly environments but pseudo-poly (as in family members doing certain functions minus the sex) ... I have noticed divorced women here and some have confessed that their marriages would have lasted if there was polygamy in it. I am ok but I want to be happy. To love deeply and hard, to love and be loved throughout the ages.
I'm seeing the odds here are staggering against me because I have to compete with singles and couples / groups (most of users). On the other hand, I can easily point out to at least 5 amazing women that I would be honored to have in my life :)
Also, I think polygamy is a source of stability for the family. For example, as 5 incomes we can produce wealth and ultimately reach financial independence together. I'm not really into money, I think no one should be an workaholic (no more than 8 hours daily x 5 days) but unfortunately that is not everyone's reality... We as a family should be slowing down, enjoying each other and just living life because family comes first since when dying, no one remembers the kind of life they lived, what kind of love they loved and how the were there to experience it all!
I've been looking for her ever since pre-school/ 1st grade. I know what she looks like & thinks about but I'm afraid I have not met her. I have met girls similar to her though, but not her whom my heart longs for...

Ultimately we should just live a normal as possible life, living each season as properly, a bit (doomsday) prepper, a bit nature lover, a bit world citizen, being healthy, being conscious and being smart. Living and loving each day at it was the last because when you stop to think about it, tomorrow is not promised today, it does not really exist (no guarantee), each day is a gift, an opportunity to do & be our best :)
Whether in Europe or in North America, I'd like to have the best of both worlds. I love languages and traveling and I'd like for our American family to be a bit European or our European family to be a bit American, for example, living in America and having a European summer house. As I am Brazilian, we'll have a three-way system. Brazil is can be a nice place to retire if you do your homework (safety) and it can be a cheap for healthcare and vacation too.
I'm waiting for my forever family, (bi) wives and I cannot wait to be living this life.
Last but not least, a polygamy family / household (paterfamilias / principate) is where the husband is first among equals, a place for the betterment of mind, body and soul, for production of beautiful white babies. It can function as an organism for personal advancement, for example, I have seen some females here are hairstylist, which she'd have a goal to go entrepreneur, have a chain of her own or study and become a dermatologist (+ - same field) but much better for her and the family, which will ultimate allow her to be a businesswoman as well. The family as a "Roman Gens" is a mini state within the state, and it should be a diverse place where our children are exposed to different interests so they can different skills for life. One of our goals should be that our children are computer coders, day trader, highly skilled, highly educated, love for the Lord, love for knowledge, learning and questioning and upstanding citizens, a person with a reputation for honesty and strong morals.
