Do You Know What You Want?

A much wiser being than myself once asked,
"Do you know what you want?"
I did not feel the wisdom of that question the first time I heard it. I read it very literally. As in, do you know what the thing, person, place or circumstance is that you want? But what is really being asked is, "Do you KNOW what you want? Have you placed yourself there mentally? As in, have you actually, emotionally, physically felt the feeling of having what you want?
