Dear Mom,

I know I've only been away three weeks. Living in the city has been a big adjustment, but I'm starting to meet friends. Oh, and I wanted to tell you, I met a girl. She's super nice, I think you would like her. She's actually a few years older than me but she is from here and knows all the fun things to do. She has been showing me all sorts of fun places to go, and lately we've been riding the train together to different places she thinks I would really like. We've been going downtown quite a bit, actually. Anyway, thanks for your letter and I hope to talk to you soon.
