I first want to say that I am still with my son's dad. His dad, my boyfriend got me pregnant at 16 in high school. I was a star soccer player and he played baseball. We were both really good friends, we'd study together and talk.

We were stuck at my house in the winter due to snow and my parents were stuck out wherever they were. They trusted us home alone (obviously not) and behave. Well, we got into the alcohol in the basement, and ended up fucking in my bed. Few weeks later when I found out I was pregnant, we all sat down and talked. Our parents were understandably upset about it. But we owned up to it.

I ended up missing a year of soccer, but played the last two years and when I went to college, I played all 4 years of Division II college soccer. It was amazing to have my son and boyfriend there cheering me on. My coaches and teammates welcomed my son to our practices and offered up services as babysitters.

Do I regret being a teen mom? At the time I did. But eight years later, he's the best thing to happen to us. Now I'm a full time mom, student (grad school), girlfriend and firefighter.
