Why do they do it?????

I know that I am a bit old, OK very old, but I do not understand why people will post their email address on their profile and then never reply to what a person may send them. I releize that some ladies may get a lot of messages each day, but then why post it if you have no intenetions of answering...It is just like sending messages in here, .......oh well life goes on I guess just wished to rate a bit.
