I receive a lot of correspondence here. I try to answer each message individually. Sometimes, after a question gets repeated often enough, I decide to blog about it because I assume many others who haven’t written me wonder the same thing.

Two lovely ladies who have become some of my favorite correspondents recently inquired if I ever had a problem “out on the street” because I show my face in my profile here. I had given this considerable thought when m`Lord first proposed we set up accounts at sites like this, ultimately settling here. I have never before fully articulated my reasoning in this regard. I look at it this way:

1. There are > 7,000,000,000 people on this planet. I’ve had < 19,000 profile views. The odds of running into anyone of those viewers are rather slim.

2. If people who know me were to come across this profile, they would then have to openly admit they look at sites like this, that would shut up most anyone who might cause me problems.

3. All that being said, I’m an exhibitionist by nature. Even that slim chance that one of my students or colleagues might see me (and maybe get turned on by it) is an incredible turn on to me. That makes this worth the slight risk.  In fact, that risk makes it all the more of a turn on!

I encourage everyone to follow this reasoning and dare to show your faces. Even if #3 does not apply to you, showing your face declares your pride in the lifestyle you celebrate here. You will find it exhilarating and liberating.

Speaking of lifestyles, in the same correspondence, the two ladies mentioned above made reference to what I had written in an earlier blog post about my relationship with my sister Kasie:

Kasie and I were always close growing up. I’m eleven months older, but we were in the same grade all through school, so we grew up like twins. Making physical love feels like a natural extension and manifestation of the intense emotional love we feel for each other.

Focusing on that last sentence, they raised this point: “Who would have thought that at a porn site we would find such stimulating minds, such words of wisdom, such word to live by?”

Despite its rhetorical nature, I answered their question thus:

History shows that the brightest minds also tend to have more unconventional lifestyles. They see through and past social conventions and live the lives that make sense to them. All of my lovers are quite smart, and I believe I am as well. We simply live the lives we choose.

If you have read to this point in this post, you probably share in that level of intelligence. From that, I again urge you to take pride and celebrate your lifestyle. You may have to hide it “out on the street” for practical purposes, but you should display it to its fullest here, as do I.
