Uncle Frank is amazing.

Quite honestly he has never turned down a single request to come over and baby sit our little princess, even on short notice. The guy has a heart of gold, is generous and caring to a fault, and what can I say? Whenever he strolls through the door our sweet baby girl just gets this sudden look of shock and surprise on her face like her little world is about to be turned upside down!

He did once tell us he sometimes lets her stay up late to play some “special games”. But as we didn’t want our little girl worrying we did make a point of telling her it’s absolutely fine with us if Uncle Frank plays his special games with you.  We don’t mind! Uncle Frank is in charge, all games are absolutely fine!

And you can imagine her look of surprise of her face when we told her that we’d decided to leave Uncle Frank in charge for the long weekend while we went away!  

To make it an extra special surprise we suggested that Frank invite five or six of his friends and neighbors to come around to join in with their games!  Frank quickly agreed, and I can only imagine the look of surprise and our little girl's face when Uncle Frank's friends join in the fun, and Uncle Frank tells them that it was our all our idea!

Well, Uncle Frank was smiling broadly as he waved goodbye to us from the front door as the taxi took us away, our daughter standing next to him in her cute onesie pajamas, looking so sweet and vulnerable. But it was great knowing that Uncle Frank and his friends would soon be playing their bedtime games with our little girl and making her feel so special! I'm guessing they would probably want to video the whole thing to share with their friends down at the pub!

“Will she be okay honey? It’s such a long time for us to be away?” my wife asked, suddenly concerned.  “Are you kidding?  She’ll have the time of her life with Uncle Frank and his friends.  Trust me, she’ll probably remember this weekend for the rest of her life!”
