This is finishing up the post I was writing yesterday when I got interrupted.  The question I was answering was how my wife reacted to me wanting to make our daughter a sub.

Like I said Gail has been a sub most of her life so she has accepted that lifestyle. I think most people would agree it's easier to accept extreme forms of sexuality when you have grown up with them rather than coming to them as an adult when you already have pre-conceived ideas about what society considers taboo or even acceptable.  The main challenge we had as parents was finding ways to enjoy our lifestyle while trying to keep it secret from Jenn when we was little.  There is a lot most families take for granted that becomes a big deal for sexually active parents like us.  For example when we bought our house and started hosting parties for our swinger friends, we obviously needed a babysitter to keep an eye on Jenn while we playing downstairs. But you can't just get a girl from the neighborhood and bring her into your house when you are having an orgy. For a couple years we had to use the daughter of one of the couples we partied with who knew what her parents were into. But after she graduated from community college she went away to a four-year school to get her degree and we didn't have a babysitter anymore.  A couple times we used the younger brother of another guy in our group. There were times we couldn't get any babysitter so Gail and one or two of the other women would take turns running upstairs to check on Jenn.  Well, this is getting away from what I originally started to explain.

The point is, there was no way Jenn would grow up without becoming aware of mommy and daddy's "hobby," since we were so active in BDSM and swinging. The issue Gail and I always had was, when and how much to explain. When Jenn started getting a basic form of sex ed in school (very basic, birds-and-bees kind of stuff to begin with) she would come home and ask mom questions about what she was hearing in school.  I don't know how much I can say except that Jenn learned more about sex than most girls her age.She also learned about different types of sexual behavior although certain things had to wait for when she was older. Sometimes I would explain things to her but most of the time it was Gail. She explained submission to Jenn and went into how it can be pleasurable to surrender control and allow yourself to be used by others.

When Jenn was old enough to understand some of the basic concepts of alternative sexual lifestyles I explained the appeal of De Sade, how his name gave us the word sadism, etc.  I gave her a copy of my favorite De Sade story, "Philosophy in the Bedroom," which has a father deliberately corrupting his teenage daughter by giving her to a perverty brother-sister couple for slut training and torture. I don't think Jenn ever finished reading the story but she read enough, along with my explanation of it, to understand the erotic appeal of it.  That made an impression on her, along with the things Gail had been explaining to her. 

The other thing Gail was able to do better than me was encourage Jenn to experience things for herself and not let other people or society's rules dictate how she would envolve as a sexual being. We were always open and honest with Jenn about our lifestyle even though there were aspects to it that were closed off to her until she turned 18.  Such as participating in our "green door" parties. By that time Jenn understood how, instead of being her protector as most girls think of their dad, I would get sexual pleasure from watching her used as a cum dump and tortured by other men.  But she was willing to make that leap because of the explanations she had gotten from her mother about the world of kink, especially Sadean BDSM.  Jenn is a few months away from turning 20 but she has already experienced things that many women only fantasize about or are totally turned off by. She has been used harshly and is learning how to channel pleasure from pain, another thing her mom was able to explain much better than I ever could.

Like every other family we are not perfect and there have been bad decisions made along the way in our sexual journey. But mostly it is an exciting lifestyle and to answer another question I get a lot, yes I DO know how lucky I am.
