I remember the day like it was yesterday when I acquired my first bondage magazine. It was the summer of 1977 and I was 12 years old. My family stopped off at a flea market after church on a chilly Saturday night. I aways gravitated to those booths stocked with lots of books and magazines. You could find a few stacks of vanilla magazines, such as Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler, Oui, which I usually ignored. Of course, the vendors would shew away 12-year-olds picking through the smut. However, at one booth, an unusual erotic magazine caught my eye: Latent Image. The vendor ignored me as I turned the pages. My face went flush and goose pimples rose up along my arms when I soon realized that this was a BONDAGE magazine. In fact, it contained personal ads from all over the US. I had to have this mag!

Luckily the vendor at this booth didn't question me when I presented him the magazine for purchase. I was really scared that I would be turned in to my parents. The vendor took my money and gave me back the magazine. I walked away and found an isolated corner of the market where I shoved the mag down my shirt and zipped up my jacket. The mag didn't show and I got away with taking it home where I stashed it away. I learned so much about the BDSM community out those pages!
