I got up about 07.30, I wanted to make sure that I was fully awake and ready when I went for my interview. I went for a shower, then made myself a coffee, before going up to my room to get dressed in someting appropriate, then went back down to finish my coffee. I was about to leave when I heard Sue coming down the stairs. She asked what was for breakfast, I told her to make some toast as I had to go out, but that I would be back soon. She was looking sleepy, but very pretty. Her hair was a mess, but she still looked good. I told her that I would help her get dressed when I got back, so she made some toast and went back up to her room.
Finally I managed to leave the house, it was a fairly short drive to Mrs Maclean's house, she was the woman I was going to see. The house was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I parked at the front , and went to the front door. I was about to ring the doorbell when the door opened. A woman who looked as if she was in her late 40's was standing there. Right on time she said to me, thats what I like, someone who is punctual.
She took me through to the kitchen. asked me if I would like a Tea or coffee, I said coffee please Mrs Maclean. She told me her name was Jessica, but I was to call her Jes, I said ok Jes, so what does the job involve.
She told me that her husband had been in a car accident about a year ago, and that he had lost both his legs, just above the knees. Since then she had been forced to use taxi's all the time as she could not drive.
Jes told me that the job mainly involved driving her, her husband, Joe, to wherever they had to go to, and taking her teenage twins to and from school every day. I would also be required to ensure the car was kept clean, and serviced, and help out in taking Joe to and from hospital appointments.
I told Jes that it sounded ok, and that I would be happy to give it a go. She asked when I could start. I told her that Dadd and Mum were away till Tuesday night, and I was looking after Sue, who had hurt her wrist. Jes said that Thursday would be fine, and asked if Sue was ok, she said that her kids knew her a little, from school, although they were 2 years above her.
She then said it was time for me to meet her family, so we went into the garden where joe, her husband was. He was quite a big, fairly well built guy. I was introduced to him and we chatted for a few minutes while Jes went to make more coffee. When she came back out with it, he said that he liked me, and was looking forward to me being his driver, and hopefully his friend too. We drank our coffee, then he asked if I had met the twins, I said no. He then asked me to push him in his wheelchair indoors.
We went into a room with a big tv, the twins were sitting watching cartoons. Joe told them to turn of the tv, and introduced them to me as their new driver, to and from school. They sat up and looked at me.
They were identical, Joe told me they were Michelle and Michael. It was hard to tell them apart. They both had long blonde hair, and very similar figures. Michael got up and came and shook my hand, then Michelle did the same. The only way yo could tell them apart, was that Michelle had boobs. I told them that it was nice to meet them. I guessed that they were about 14, from what Jes had said about them being 2 years above Sue.
Joe asked if I wanted to see the car now, I said yes. We went to a door in the hall, he opened it, and then we went straight into the garage, where a lovely Jaguar Sovereign was sitting. It looked fantastic. Joe asked if I had driven an automatic before, I told him that I had. He then told me that he would pay me £200 a week in cash, it was easier for him, and it saved me paying tax, I said that sounded ok to me.
He suggested that I collect the car on Wednesday night, so I could collect the twins to take them to school on Thursday morning. He told me I could also use it to take Sue to school if I wanted too, I told him that I appreciated that.
We went back into the kitchen, and Jes asked if I wanted another coffee, I told her that I really should get back to make sure that Sue was ok. Joe told me as I was leaving that I did not have to wear a suit while I was driving, as long as I wore a shirt and tie. I told him that was good, and that I would see them on Wednesday night when I came to collect the car.
Driving home all I could think about was driving a good car, and getting paid to do it. Then I started to think about Sue ....
