I was a bit of a country boy and it was not uncommon for people to have their dog lick sores and wounds. Wonderful healing. Then I think of that old saying; concerning a defeated army or foe. "lick their wounds" so I imagine that many animals have this property in their saliva to heal.

Why don't we have "healing centres"  instead of taking all those drugs.
