I dont blog.. until now. Last night I was the victim of a scam. I hope by sharing my experience it might educate people to a scam I had no idea existed and just might help them too.

I'll start at the beginning..

I was bored as usual and was going to watch a movie. I'd had a few drinks and thought i'd have a look around the chat sites and see if there was some fun to be had b4 the movie. So there I was browsing the cam chat sites and this girl popped up. Very pretty and interested in having fun.

On the video she said that her mum was coming (she said she was 23 by the way) and could we skype. I said sure and we exchanged addresses. 

A few mins later I got a call and the 'fun' began. It was quite enjoyable up until she said her mum was coming again. The call ended.

Then about 5 mins later I was called back. This is where it went horribly wrong. The video was recorded and I was being threatened with it being uploaded to YouTube, and all my family and friends being notified on Facebook. The 'person'  (tho I use the term lightly.. Vile thieving fucking scumbag suits more but i'm trying to keep it clean) identified himself as being part of a hacker group that was "going to ruin my life". I told them I had no money as I work im a shop and It's still quite a way to payday. The money negoitiations continued for a few mins but this time allowed me to report the video to YouTube before they made it private. They settled on an amount of €300 and wanted it paid by Western Union to a 'person' in Morocco.

After a very poor night's sleep I got up early with a determination not to pay and not be beaten down by this. I thought if my family found out so be it, It'll be embarrasing and I'll deal with it if it happens, but I wasn't giving this 'person' my hard earned cash.

I found a site that specifically deals with this problem and they provided all the info i needed. I reported it to them, I changed a lot of passwords, reported the YouTube user page. There was even a video of some poor lad who had been scammed earlier. I reported this video too. I reported the email address to email providers, deactivated social media accounts and prety much vanished for now, from mainstream social media. 

I got a lot of threatening mails counting down to the deadline and reported these too. After the deadline pased I started getting phone calls from a Moroccan number. All of which i ignored. Then some more threatening mails. They even had the nerve to say they were going to bed and would upload later.

This hasn't happened. I'm still on a knife edge with nerves but this isn't going to beat me... I've sat on the reload button on Google & YouTube all day checking for it. I'll probably be going sick from work tomorrow to keep checking if it's been uploaded, (ah well.. silver lining.. extra day off!!)

Being a voyeuristic perv, I recorded the whole thing. (For some later fun).  I have a screen shot of the face of the model they used for the scam which I will upload as a warning to others, at a later time when all this is over.

Now, like a lot of people on here, I've no problem having fun and flashing a little flesh from time to time. But when this is used  by some gang to extort money from innocent people having fun, I've only one thing to say...... FUCK YOU, YOU ASSHOLES!!! YOU AIN'T GETTING MY FUCKING MONEY YOU CUNTS!!!! IF YOU DO SHARE THE VIDEO, I'LL DEAL WITH IT, BUT YOU AIN'T GETTING A FUCKING PENNY FROM ME!!!!!!

If you find yourself being extorted like this, take a breath and don't panic. There is support out there and the main thing is DON'T PAY!!! If you think paying them off will help, It won't!! They'll only come back and demand more. Follow the instructions on the support pages. You aren't the first and won't be the last!!!
