I can honestly say I like the man you've become. I've watched you and my son play together since before you were 6 and now you are a strapping young man of 18!

My husband Jack would have loved to see how you turned out. I'm glad he got to see you turn 16. Hard to believe how time flies. Your mother has been a dear friend to me through all the best and the hardest times. She is so proud of you too.

It does make me a little sad to know you'll be off in St Louis after this month; I shall miss seeing you around on a regular basis. Oh the people you will meet! Oh the opportunities! To grow. To learn. To love. (to have sex.)
