So, growing up in the 80s as the only child of hippie parents in the SF bay area, there were a great many interesting attitudes towards sex and child rearing. I was subject of one of the more progressive theories that resulted in my parents making a 'play date' with the parents of a guy my age for a sunday morning-day-afternoon-evening. Basically the parents were upstairs chatting and drinking white whine while their daughter & son were left alone in the downstairs apartment together.  ALLLL day.

We liked each other, that was why our parents had decided to make the date. They had decided that we should have our first sexual experiences in a safe nurturing place.  Specifically in Tim's bedroom on his bed.

Lets just say that my nervousness was rather quickly replaced by the sheer teen-age-joy of FUCK-ING to my heart's content. He had very much the same opinion of the arrangement! We stayed friends for a long time. We screwed a-LOT.
